4-day Watercolor Workshop (10:30-5:30 daily) new date in fall 2021 The focus of this comprehensive workshop is to go through the building blocks of creating successful FINISHED paintings. Tom will take you beyond techniques and guide you from the photograph to the preliminary sketches, then show each of the stages in creating beautiful, finished works of art. Each day, Tom will be available 'LIVE’ for Demo's and answering questions.
All you need is a computer with a camera, microphone and an internet connection! This ZOOM / You Tube format with a 2-camera presentation, will give you many close-ups, teaching visuals and detailed explanations incorporating all of the art fundamentals. Tom will showcase two different ways to create a finished painting.
In this class, you will gain a wealth of information while learning to paint with a plan and intention. For one week you will be able to watch the demos again and again while in the comfort of your home painting space.
Additional ZOOM meetings (before and a week after the workshop) are included in this exceptional and art filled workshop. You will also have access to over 350 snippet art lessons at www.artacademylive.com for 30 days. for free.

New “ Visual Critique Sessions " June 16 th…June 27th
Tom’s unique approach to analyzing and making suggestions for a finished painting is to ‘SHOW YOU’ what , how and where to make improvements on your paintings. In these sessions Tom will demonstrate using a color printout of your painting. You will hear suggestions on; composition, design, focal point, value, color, theme and much more. You will then see how to make the suggested changes. Viewing the before and after will be a great learning experience not only for your painting but also as you watch the same transformation on the other students paintings. These are not just casual suggestions rather live demonstrations for your artwork. As we talk about taking your paintings to the next level this class will have a profound and immediate impact on your artwork. These suggestions will be video taped so that you can watch and learn from them again.
